      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Plan and perform medical record audits to ensure coding accuracy and compliant claims submission
      - Develop audit methodologies focusing on key risk areas in coding and documentation compliance
      - Conduct analysis of audit findings to identify trends and communicate recommended improvements
      - Serve as a subject matter expert on coding and documentation guidelines
      - Manage client relationships and oversee junior staff as directed by senior managers

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - An undergraduate degree (e.g., BS, BA)
      - Active coding certification from either AAPC or AHIMA
      - 2+ years of work experience in healthcare provider billing and coding; 5-7 years for Managing Consultant level
      - Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare rules, regulations, and guidelines
      - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Certification in medical auditing
      - Experience with physician practice coding (e.g., primary care, dermatology, orthopedics)
      - Advanced knowledge of CPT-4, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding systems
      - Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
      - Keen interest in healthcare compliance and healthcare policy
