What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Scan, upload, and label case documents into appropriate electronic medical files
- Separate and sort hard copy and soft copy medical files and documents
- Process Utilization Review referrals with dedicated deadlines and send reviews to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs)
- Perform heavy data entry and manage intake of UR referrals into the employer's software
- Respond to incoming calls and assist callers professionally while interacting with medical professionals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with a professional demeanor
- Strong organizational skills to manage various tasks effectively
- Must be computer literate and comfortable with MS Word, MS Excel, Email, and Internet
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in healthcare administrative roles or similar positions
- Familiarity with Utilization Review processes
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and regulations
- Experience with electronic medical record systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information
