      Instructional Developer

      Respond to training and education opportunities with learner engagement and innovation as a Senior Instructional Developer with GDIT. Our work depends on Senior Instructional Developers joining our team to ensure that GDIT provides state-of-the-art training solutions to the Transportation Security Administration in support to keeping its mission; protect the nation's transportation systems to ensure freedom of movement for people and commerce.

      HOW AN INSTRUCTIONAL DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

      • Design and develop instructional approaches and interactive courseware to meeting training requirements:
      • Conduct analysis of training requirements and media requirements, to include job-tasks analysis, gap analysis, and media selection analysis.
      • Develop appropriate learning objectives and test methods and design instructionally valid training materials.
      • Design and develop instructional approaches and/or strategies to meet training requirements.
      • Develop instructor-led and virtual instructor-led training materials to include lesson plans, trainee guides, PowerPoint/HTML-based instructor presentation materials, and job aids.
      • Develop storyboards and flow diagrams for Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) delivery.
      • Develop creative media strategies for ILT/VILT/IMI presentation.
      • Develop test items based on learning objectives.
      • Interact with customer and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content.
      • Conduct Levels 1 and 2 courseware evaluations.
      • Develop and monitors metrics for evaluating training and development effectiveness.
      • Writes technical plans and reports.
      • Participate in special projects as required.

      WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
      Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Instructional Technology, Master's level preferred
      Required Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in instructional design and development.
      Required Technical Skills:

      • Advanced knowledge in the use and application of Articulate Storyline
      • Advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Word
      • Advanced knowledge in applying the principles, methods, and techniques used in andragogy and instructional systems design
      • Advanced knowledge in the principles, methods, and techniques used in virtual synchronous and technology-based training
      • Advanced knowledge in applying Section 508 compliance criteria to wide array of curriculum materials

      Security Clearance Level: TSA SSI suitability
      Required Skills and Abilities: Strong oral and written communication skills.

      The likely salary range for this position is $63,750 - $86,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
