What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and implement advanced data and statistical analytics using health care data
- Collaborate with team members to translate research questions into analytic plans
- Create research-ready datasets by importing and integrating large, complex datasets
- Draft methodological sections of technical reports and maintain detailed programming documentation
- Work closely with the Assistant Director of Analytics to enhance data manipulation processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree plus three (3) years of experience in data analytics, health services research, mathematics, or a related field, OR Master’s Degree plus one (1) year experience in the same areas
- Proficiency in statistical programming and data management software such as SAS and SQL
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to think critically, manage multiple tasks, and work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Base or Advanced SAS certification
- Experience with administrative claims data analysis
- Ability to write efficient code and utilize advanced SAS functions for data manipulation
- Knowledge of national data sources and geographical coding programs such as ArcGIS
- Familiarity with Medicaid eligibility, health disparities, and chronic diseases
