What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and implement advanced data and statistical analytics using healthcare data
- Collaborate with team members to translate research questions into analytic plans
- Import and integrate large, complex datasets to create research-ready datasets
- Draft technical reports and maintain detailed programming documentation
- Work with the Assistant Director of Analytics to create efficient data analytics
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree plus three (3) years of experience in data analytics or related field, or Master’s Degree plus one (1) year of experience
- Proficiency with statistical programming or advanced data management software, such as SAS and SQL
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office products, including Excel
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Base or Advanced SAS certification
- Experience with administrative claims data analysis
- Knowledge of national data sources and health geocoding/mapping programs
- Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare claims and health disparities
- Ability to write efficient code and utilize advanced SAS functions
