      Job Description Summary

      The Enterprise Resource Development, Marketing, and Communications department is seeking a full-time summer intern to support the Events and Development Services teams with summer fundraising events and in preparation for the fall gala season. The Fundraising Events Intern will participate in a variety of activities related to managing fundraising events and event sponsorships. This role is ideal for a recent or current graduate student who is looking for experience in fundraising, event planning, data entry, and/or administrative support in the nonprofit sector. The Intern will gain first-hand experience with the full fundraising event lifecycle – from soliciting sponsors and supporting event logistics, to tracking fundraising data and attendee management. The Intern should have prior experience or an enthusiastic interest in learning about data entry and management in Salesforce and a strong ability to take direction and follow-through on deadlines.

      This will be a remote opportunity, and the Intern may be based anywhere in the U.S., with the option of occasionally working from the Enterprise office if located in the NYC or Columbia, MD areas.

      Job Description

      Responsibilities :

      • Essential Duties & Responsibilities

      • Data entry

      • Track sponsorship lists and tasks in Salesforce

      • Ensure sponsorship-related emails and calls are appropriately recorded in Salesforce

      • Communications

      • Draft gala sponsor solicitation communications

      • Support minor edits to event pages in Cvent event platform

      • Events & Administrative Support

      • Assist with event logistics including assistance with webinars, researching of venues, attendee management, building of slideshows in PowerPoint

      • Record and disseminate notes and next steps from regular event and sponsorship planning meetings

      • Secondary Duties & Responsibilities

      • Complete research needed to support fundraising for California galas

      • Gather logos, names, other logistics for event sponsors

      • Draft thank you/acknowledgements to funders

      Qualifications :

      • Current or recent graduate student (non-students also welcome to apply)

      • 1 – 3 years of professional, volunteer, and/or internship experience in event planning , fundraising, administrative support, or data entry , preferred. Nonprofit experience a plus.

      • Interest in learning Salesforce required; p rior experience a strong plus . Training will be provided.

      • Experience with Cvent or other event systems and Zoom or other webinar platforms preferred .

      • Comfort with learning new technologies and willingness to complete self-directed training .

      • Ability to take direction, follow- through on deadlines , and proactively ask questions and raise concerns.

      • Strong attention to detai l .

      • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

      • Ability to work remotely on a consistent schedule .

      • Interest in affordable housing, community development, or related fields a plus .

      The base pay for this role is $20 to $24 for undergraduate students and $24-$28 for graduate students, depending on level of skills and experience.

      The salary range for this position is represented by the low and high end of the range for the amount to be paid for the position. Salaries paid at Enterprise will vary based on factors that may include skills, education, location, experience, and performance.
