What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Directly supervise and coordinate the work activity of a team of Research Finance Analysts
- Oversee financial transactions related to sponsored projects while ensuring compliance with regulations
- Initiate operational improvements to support faculty and departments in their research endeavors
- Identify training gaps and lead education meetings for Research Finance Analysts and administrators
- Provide oversight and review of sponsored financial reporting and mediate financial challenges
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Research Finance/Grants Administration, including 1-2 years of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of State, Federal, and Non-Federal sponsored programs’ regulations and operation policies
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines while managing multiple priorities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare-related research environment
- Familiarity with Uniform Guidance, OASC-3, NIH grants policy statement, and FARs
- Advanced problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership abilities
