- Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
- Collaborate with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- Works with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management
- Coordinate with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Conducts Value Stream Analysis, manufacturing process flow redesigns, time and motion studies as part of the planning process.
- Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and capture potential efficiencies.
- Leads plant employees in conceptualizing, planning, implementing, and sustaining continuous improvements by utilizing Lean Manufacturing tools.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Manufacturing engineering required.
- 1-3+ years’ work experience in a manufacturing facility in an engineering role with proven track record of delivering results. Strong internship experience will be considered in place of.
- Proven ability to see facility projects through to completion, on time and within budget.
- Able to effectively carry out a vision and collaborate with Production, Materials and Quality teams.
- AutoCAD/Solid works experience. Experience designing manufactured parts and developing comprehensive production floor layouts is preferred.
- Technically proficient in applicable programs related to process improvement & MS Office.
- Ability to present in a clear and concise manner within all layers of the organization.
- Strong analytical, organization and communication skills.
- A high energy team player with a go-getter attitude.
- This role supports projects across multiple business units nationally, requiring 75% travel

Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes in alignment with product specifications and quality standards. This remote-based role requires approximately 75% travel to support manufacturing sites, where the engineer works directly on the shop floor to analyze equipment layout, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization to drive efficiency and reduce waste. As a high-visibility position with exposure across multiple levels of the organization, the Manufacturing Engineer plays a key role in supporting the growth strategy of the Industrial Technologies Group and its Business Units.

Work Environment
A Manufacturing Engineer works in a fast-paced production setting, balancing time on the shop floor with analytical planning. The role involves close collaboration with operators, maintenance, quality, and leadership to improve safety, efficiency, and performance. The environment can be loud, dirty, and subject to varying temperatures, requiring appropriate protective equipment and adaptability.
Physical Demands
This position requires frequent standing and walking on the production floor, with occasional bending, stooping, and reaching. The role may involve lifting and carrying materials or equipment up to 40 pounds and working around moving machinery. Employees must be able to tolerate varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial conditions while wearing required personal protective equipment. Clear vision, including the ability to distinguish between colors, and strong attention to detail are essential.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated salary range: $75,000 – $90,000 annually.This position is eligible for the company’s full benefits package, including medical insurance, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, paid vacation and sick leave, and paid holidays.
