What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide mediation, facilitation, and dispute resolution services on behalf of the Corporate Stakeholder Response Mechanism (SRM)
- Advise complainants on grievance redress avenues and oversee the SRM process
- Monitor the implementation of mediation outcomes and update the SRM public case registry
- Develop knowledge products and capacity building strategies for Country Offices
- Advise on appropriate case management systems for Corporate SRM and Country Office SRMs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in Law, Public Administration, Political, Social Sciences, Humanities, Development Studies, Business Management, or relevant disciplines
- Minimum of 7 years of extensive international experience in mediation, negotiation, and facilitation in multi-stakeholder development contexts
- Proficiency in IT software packages (MS Word, Excel) and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages
- Fluency in English; working knowledge of another UN language is an asset
- Proven experience in mediation and conflict resolution, particularly in environmental and natural resource issues is desirable
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous work experience within international organizations (e.g., UN agencies, World Bank, INGOs) on dispute resolution or mediation
- Experience in working with independent accountability mechanisms
- Technical expertise in climate change and environmental conflict analysis
