      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Coordinate and participate in the coding of medical information from complex records, ensuring accuracy and adherence to coding procedures
      - Perform concurrent audits of coding data, interpreting medical records and verifying diagnoses and procedure codes
      - Communicate discrepancies in coding to physicians and provide education on documentation requirements
      - Review claim denials and troubleshoot issues to determine resolutions and prevent future occurrences
      - Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and participate in coding team meetings for continuous improvement

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist - Physician (CCS-P) designation required
      - Minimum of three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
      - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret complex technical instructions
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and medical coding reference resources
      - Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, coders, and other staff

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with various hospital, vendor, or proprietary documentation and billing platforms
      - Additional certifications or specialized training in coding or healthcare compliance
