What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Solve complex problems involving multi-sensor imagery data analysis and integration for various defense mission areas
- Employ mathematical principles to optimize calibration, signal augmentation, target detection, and tracking
- Validate novel image and signal processing algorithms through end-to-end data exploitation and analytics
- Develop specialized visualizations and analytical reports for senior government customers
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary technical efforts across complex remote sensing programs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in a related STEM field (Remote Sensing, Imaging Science, Physics, Mathematics, etc.)
- Eight years of relevant experience in imagery data analysis and algorithm development
- Extensive numerical programming experience using Python, Matlab, and/or C++
- Experience in modeling, simulation, and conducting algorithm performance trade studies
- An active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Advanced degree in a related STEM field
- Demonstrated expertise in linear algebra and spectral theory through publications or patents
- Experience in implementing algorithms using eigenvalue analysis and SVD techniques
- Published work in scientific journals on remote sensing or algorithm development
- Experience applying artificial intelligence/computer vision methods to detection and tracking applications
