What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain and support Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery
- Manage backup and recovery processes using RMAN and Oracle Secure Backup
- Assist with database migrations to Oracle’s Exadata platform in Microsoft Azure
- Develop and implement automation scripts to enhance operational efficiency
- Troubleshoot production outages affecting websites and financial applications
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree or at least 4 years of equivalent experience as a Database Administrator
- Extensive experience in Oracle Database Administration, with MSSQL
- Strong customer service skills and ability to collaborate effectively with all levels
- Proficient in troubleshooting issues related to blocking, deadlocking, and database integrity
- Strong knowledge of backups, restores, and recovery models
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with RAC, scripting, and automation
- Ability to create thorough documentation for processes and procedures
- Knowledge of index management and configuration
- Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
