      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide high-quality customer service to external and internal customers, ensuring prompt and professional communication
      - Gather and verify patient information, confirming eligibility for healthcare coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations
      - Schedule new patient appointments and ensure all medical records are prepared in advance
      - Triage and document telephone calls from patients, addressing inquiries and urgent healthcare concerns
      - Cross-train and cover other positions as needed, providing guidance and training to new staff members

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - One year of experience in a medical office setting with high-volume direct patient contact, or one and a half years in a public contact position with six months in a medical office
      - Thorough knowledge of PAS policies and procedures
      - Demonstrated advanced PAS user skills and extensive knowledge of integrated care
      - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      - Strong customer service orientation and the ability to handle confrontational interactions effectively

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - High School Diploma or GED
      - Working knowledge of medical terminology
      - Proficiency in university network computer applications, including Windows, Epic, and Microsoft Office
      - Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
      - Strong relationship-building skills with patients, providers, and co-workers
