What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage the patient insurance authorization and medical documentation process for requested services
- Resolve inquiries from patients, medical offices, and insurance companies regarding medical necessity and provider participation
- Verify monthly patient eligibility for continued services
- Lead the Patient Access team to meet performance metrics and goals
- Conduct training sessions and one-on-one meetings with team members
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree in Healthcare, Medical Office, Management, or related field; Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare, medical office, or customer service role
- 1-2 years of experience in a leadership position preferred
- Knowledge of insurance treatment authorization and/or precertification preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of home health, DME, or enteral nutrition products
- Medical Billing/Coding Certification
- Strong ability to manage in a high call volume environment
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Strong commitment to clinical excellence and leadership abilities
