What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain patient accounts, ensuring accurate demographic information and payer details
- Contact insurance companies for preauthorization and to resolve outstanding balances
- Process failed claims and ensure compliance with clean claim definitions
- Answer patient inquiries regarding balances and establish payment arrangements
- Monitor patient delinquency and initiate collection steps as necessary
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree or equivalent knowledge preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience in a related field
- Ability to read, understand, and follow directions, and perform computations
- Knowledge of payer regulations and billing requirements
- Strong customer service skills and ability to create a welcoming environment

- Experience in administrative support within a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with billing and coding practices
- Proven ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
