      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Coordinate and participate in coding of medical information from complex records, ensuring accuracy and adherence to coding procedures
      - Perform concurrent audits of provider-selected coding data during the billing process
      - Communicate discrepancies in coding to physicians based on medical records reviewed
      - Review and educate staff on documentation requirements and coding guidelines
      - Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist - Physician (CCS-P) designation required
      - Minimum of three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
      - Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical coding reference resources
      - Strong communication skills to convey technical information effectively

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with various hospital, vendor, or proprietary documentation and billing platforms
      - Familiarity with coding compliance and audit processes
      - Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
      - Previous experience in pediatric specialty coding
