What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead medical record review, medical waiver adjudication, and military medical assessments
- Evaluate outcomes of medical waivers and assess training success for applicants
- Review and analyze weekly discharge rosters for medical waiver cases
- Provide constructive feedback to healthcare teams
- Ensure compliance with USCG and DoD medical policies and standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Doctorate or Master’s Degree in a medical field (PA, NP, or equivalent) from an accredited program
- Current, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state
- Board certification as a PA or NP
- Minimum of three years of experience in relevant medical assessments
- Familiarity with USCG and DoD medical policies, HIPAA compliance, and medical standards
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional specialty certifications in emergency medicine or behavioral health
- Experience leading research projects focused on medical waivers
- Demonstrated skill in providing constructive feedback
- Minimum of one year of experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
