      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Lead medical record reviews and adjudicate medical waivers for the USCG
      - Evaluate applicants' medical conditions and provide recommendations for fitness for duty
      - Analyze discharge rosters to identify cases involving medical waivers
      - Provide constructive feedback based on assessments and evaluations
      - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with medical policies and standards

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Doctorate or Master’s Degree in a medical field such as PA or NP from an accredited program
      - Current, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state relevant to the career path
      - Board certification as a PA or NP
      - Minimum of three years of experience in medical record review, waiver adjudication, or military medical assessments
      - Familiarity with USCG and DoD medical policies, HIPAA compliance, and electronic medical record systems

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Additional specialty certifications in emergency medicine or behavioral health
      - Experience leading research projects related to medical waivers and training outcomes
      - Proficiency with Cerner EMR, MHS GENESIS, and Joint Longitudinal Viewer systems
