What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and edit contributions from external expert authors to ensure clarity and actionable recommendations
- Monitor literature for new developments and identify topics needing updates
- Systematically review existing topics for accuracy, completeness, and clinical relevance
- Collaborate closely with outside authors, section editors, and peer reviewers to ensure material integrity
- Work with in-house editorial and graphics assistants to produce and maintain each topic
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Medical Degree
- Board Certification/Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Ability to spend 80 to 90% of the work week on editorial tasks
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Clinical experience in an academic setting after residency
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at different skill levels
- Interest in critical analysis of the medical literature
- Self-motivated with a commitment to receiving and giving feedback effectively
- Capacity to maintain clinical work 10 to 20% of the time
