What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Create reference implementations for future products by integrating new hardware platforms and concepts with the Hivemind SDK (C++) for commercial applications
- Iterate rapidly with customer feedback, demonstrating developed architectures and refining them based on input
- Explore and evaluate future hardware and software technologies that align with the product roadmap
- Identify and analyze areas of technical debt across the stack, proposing effective solutions
- Contribute to the commercial applications of the Hivemind Enterprise system
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 12+ years of experience developing large, production-quality software systems
- 10+ years of experience with modern C++ (C++17 and beyond)
- Strong knowledge of modern software engineering best practices and experience with Git
- Expertise in architectural design and implementation of large and complex distributed systems
- Excellent software hygiene regarding code documentation, unit testing, and bug tracking
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in the aerospace and/or robotics industries
- Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)
- Experience in team leadership or as a technical project lead
- Passion for developing high-quality and optimized software solutions
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
