- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance capabilities and processes, focusing on improving manufacturing and quality with a customer-oriented approach.
- Optimize the use and utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and manufacturing operations.
- Lead the Continuous Improvement Team, applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to projects that deliver cost savings, improved process efficiency, and ensured quality.
- Focus on achieving measurable cost-savings results, both short and long term, while maintaining necessary quality checks.
- Analyze plant operations using engineering principles to make recommendations for improved efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
- Improve machine/operation cycle times and standardize work methods.
- Provide support to manufacturing, quality, and purchasing departments as directed.
- Directly responsible for improving manufacturing efficiencies, rates, standards, and processes through interaction with manufacturing and maintenance departments.
- Document changes to processes, quality plans, and procedures as a result of continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with die setters to improve die setting techniques and enhance knowledge for setup positions.
- Manage all process routings, bill of materials, packaging instructions, and work instructions.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
- 1-3 years of previous work experience in a related stamping, welding, or manufacturing environment.
- General knowledge of technologies and methodologies used in continuous process improvement, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methods, and 5S activities.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, diagrams, and procedure manuals.
- Experience in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, continuous improvement, and manufacturing processes, particularly in stamping and stamping press environments.

This position involves hands-on activities related to engineering, manufacturing, and quality improvement within the company. The Process Engineer is tasked with enhancing manufacturing and engineering efficiencies, collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and purchasing teams on various projects. The role includes developing and implementing engineering improvements in the manufacturing area and supporting all phases of the manufacturing process.

Work Environment
The role is based in both an office and manufacturing environment. Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical equipment, with the noise level in the shop usually loud and varying temperature conditions. All necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) must be used while in the shop.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bluffton, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.25 - $32.70/hr.
