What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the implementation of a patient-centric model involving physicians, their staff, and clinics
- Develop and maintain strategic long-term relationships with Centers of Excellence (COEs) and key health systems
- Serve as the primary resource for physicians and healthcare providers regarding support for rare disease patients
- Create and execute strategic business and account plans based on local market conditions
- Provide high-level clinical education and product expertise to targeted accounts and stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BS/BA degree AND 8+ years of sales experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, including 5+ years calling on prescribers of specialized products
- Proven sales performance with documented sales accomplishments and awards
- Experience in rare diseases preferred, with prior experience calling on Key Accounts and academic institutions
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory environments and market access fundamentals
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required for the role
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree preferred AND 6+ years of relevant sales experience, or a PhD AND 4+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with products in specialty pharmacy distribution or Hub Model
- Previous startup or market development experience
- Endocrine experience is strongly preferred
- Ability to navigate complex accounts in varied sites of care
