What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Improve the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation through admission and continued stay reviews
- Facilitate modifications to clinical documentation to ensure appropriate reimbursement for services rendered
- Conduct ongoing follow-up reviews and collaborate with Physicians to ensure accurate documentation
- Monitor documentation against quality indicators and address non-compliance with appropriate staff
- Educate various customer audiences on clinical documentation, coding, and reimbursement methodologies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Current RN Licensure in the State of Georgia
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in professional nursing
- Demonstrated excellent observation skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with ICD10 coding conventions and clinical documentation requirements
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CCDS or CDIP certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or additional education in Finance and Healthcare regulations
- Experience in Healthcare Utilization and Revenue Management
- Leadership skills demonstrated in previous roles
- Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism in practice
