What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Improve the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation through admission and continued stay reviews
- Facilitate modifications to clinical documentation to ensure appropriate reimbursement for services rendered
- Conduct ongoing follow-up reviews to ensure documentation accuracy and compliance
- Educate and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on documentation requirements
- Monitor documentation against quality indicators and address any non-compliance with appropriate staff
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Current RN Licensure in the State of Georgia
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in professional nursing
- Strong analytical, observation, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD10 coding conventions, and DRG coding optimization strategies
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CCDS or CDIP certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or additional education in Finance and Healthcare regulations
- Experience in Healthcare Utilization and Revenue Management
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Familiarity with coding software, preferably 3M 360 Encompass
