      We are looking for a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator with French

      Role Essentials

      Professional Skills

      • Education: Preferably a Computer Science university degree or a similar qualification; any other university degree with a background in IT is also accepted.

      • Professional experience in IT: At least 5+ years of experience.

      • Microsoft SQL Server (2016–2022): Installation, configuration, patching, upgrading, and migration.

      • High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Experience with Always On Availability Groups, Failover Cluster Instances (FCI), log shipping, and replication.

      • Backup & Recovery: Design, implementation, and management of backup and restore strategies; point-in-time recovery and disaster recovery planning.

      • Monitoring & Performance: Query optimization, index tuning, execution plan analysis, and performance monitoring using tools such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Query Store, Extended Events, and monitoring platforms (e.g., SCOM, Grafana, or third-party tools).

      • Security: User and role management, permissions, Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), SSL/TLS configuration, auditing, and SQL Server security best practices.

      • Automation: Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, T-SQL, and configuration management tools.

      • Operating Systems: Windows Server administration (Linux knowledge is a plus for SQL Server on Linux).

      • Infrastructure Knowledge: Networking, storage, virtualization, and security fundamentals.

      What Will You Be Doing

      • Microsoft SQL Server database administration, including deployment, patching, upgrades, and migrations.

      • Monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity management at both database and infrastructure levels.

      • Designing, implementing, and testing high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.

      • Defining and validating data protection and recovery strategies, including backup/restore, replication, and cross-site recovery.

      • Automating routine operational tasks and configuration management to improve reliability, performance, and efficiency.

      • Collaborating with application, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure stable and secure database environments.
