      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Lead field surveys and supervise undergraduate technicians in aquatic plant sampling
      - Manage project data, including database management and GIS data digitization
      - Conduct data analysis and prepare reports for stakeholders
      - Engage with stakeholders through presentations and meetings to share project findings
      - Travel extensively to northern Michigan lakes for fieldwork during the summer season

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Knowledge equivalent to a four-year college degree in limnology, botany, fisheries, or a related field
      - 1-3 years of relevant work experience in laboratory procedures and research techniques
      - Experience in aquatic plant sampling and identification
      - Valid driver's license and eligibility to drive University-owned vehicles
      - Ability to travel extensively, including frequent overnight trips during the field season

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Master's degree or equivalent relevant experience
      - Experience operating small boats and trailers, with a focus on safety around water
      - Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor undergraduate field assistants
      - Familiarity with data management, database design, and GIS
