What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Consult with faculty and researchers regarding their projects and data infrastructure needs
- Assist with the acquisition and management of data resources in collaboration with procurement and legal teams
- Maintain and manage data through all phases of the research lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Provide technical support and assistance to faculty and researchers in social science departments
- Develop archiving and dissemination solutions for interdisciplinary research
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience in academic or scientific research support
- Experience in designing and managing large-scale data pipelines and storage solutions
- Understanding of research data workflows and academic/scientific research requirements
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple assignments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with faculty and staff
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience building data products for social sciences or academic institutions
- Knowledge of metadata management and data catalog tools
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows and model deployment pipelines
- Contributions to open-source data engineering projects
