- Design research and data analytics to generate meaningful insights to guide business operations
- Develop dashboards, reports, and communications to share analyses and insights to support executive decision-making
- Apply a data science lens to business analytics, market intelligence, and operational strategy
- Develop data processes, methods, and best practices to align organizational data sources with analytic needs
- Provide support for enterprise-wide guidance on dashboarding design and best practices
- Perform advanced data mining and statistical analysis using SQL to uncover actionable business insights
- Troubleshoot and refine existing SQL code to enhance performance and accuracy
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to design database schemas that support analytical requirements
- Implement data quality checks and validation processes using SQL to ensure analytical integrity
- Guide business leaders with research, development, and implementation of new data technologies, including generative AI, data lakes/warehouses, data automation, and data mining
- Manage work plans, prepare meeting materials, and follow up on next steps
- Support marketing and business development teams in identifying market trends and opportunities
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Three (3) or more years' experience in data research, business intelligence, statistics, or analytical research (may be a combination of professional work experience and internship experience)
- Proven attention to detail, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to translate data into actionable reports and recommendations
- Ability to adapt to the dynamic nature of multiple concurrent initiatives
- Ability to navigate ambiguity comfortably and meet frequent deadlines
- A sense of humor and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
MGT is seeking a highly innovative team member to apply their passion for data science to scale our impact, for good. Ultimately, the Senior Data Analyst will play a key role in designing data systems that allow MGT to intentionally use data to inform our growth strategy. The Senior Data Analyst will be passionate about working in a high-impact environment and applying data science for business transformation.
The ideal candidate will support (and eventually lead) data collection, research, and process development for data practices across different functional groups. This is an entrepreneurial environment that fosters learning and encourages process improvement.
