      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Perform complex accounting, analysis, and budgeting functions for the District
      - Conduct monthly performance reporting and budget variance analysis
      - Collaborate with program staff on operational program evaluations and process improvements
      - Manage core accounting activities, including maintaining the General Ledger and financial reports
      - Design and develop financial reporting tools to enhance operational effectiveness

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
      - More than 5 years of directly related professional experience
      - Advanced understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for governments
      - Proficiency in financial information systems and advanced Microsoft Excel for analysis
      - Strong ability to communicate clearly and concisely with diverse stakeholders

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with public sector accounting rules and financial operations
      - Familiarity with budgeting principles and Oregon minimum standards
      - Skills in research and interpretation of laws, rules, and regulations related to finance
