What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop reports and interactive dashboards to monitor program and operational performance across the health system
- Translate business questions into analytic requirements and deliver data-driven insights to stakeholders
- Conduct programmatic analyses, perform ad-hoc deep dives, and support data quality initiatives
- Mentor and onboard junior analysts while collaborating with internal customers and external providers
- Analyze medical expense trends, quality measures, and population health metrics
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in data/analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of analytics experience, including substantial work in healthcare (payer or provider)
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and Tableau (or comparable BI tool) for dashboard/report development
- Knowledge of research methods and experience with study design and biostatistics
- Excellent consultative, communication, and storytelling skills with the ability to influence non-technical stakeholders
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s Degree in a related field
- Tableau/Power BI certification and healthcare analytics/coding quality certifications
- Experience with quality and regulatory measures (e.g., HEDIS, STARs) and population health analysis
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior analysts and contributing to team standards
- Familiarity with retrospective research methods and large relational databases
