      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Review and analyze medical records for inpatient, outpatient, and professional services to assign accurate diagnoses and procedure codes
      - Ensure compliance with the Standards of Ethical Coding set by the American Health Information Management Association
      - Adhere to official coding guidelines while performing coding tasks
      - Utilize knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding classification systems effectively
      - Engage in data entry with frequent use of keyboard and mouse

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High school diploma required
      - Minimum of 3 years coding experience in ICD-10-CM diagnoses/procedure coding and HCPCS/CPT procedure coding
      - Certifications such as Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Interventional Radiology Cardiovascular Coder (CIRCC) required or must be completed within 6 months of employment
      - Working knowledge of MS-DRGs, APCs, MPFS/RVUs, POAs, and HACs
      - Proficient in data entry with experience in repetitive motion tasks

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Associate's degree from an accredited Health Information Technology program or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Health Information Management program
      - Experience with the 3M encoder and Epic
      - Additional certifications in coding specialties
