What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Advise and assist faculty, students, staff, and administrators in the design of ethical research
- Provide regulatory interpretation for research protocols in compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- Conduct preliminary reviews of protocol submissions, including risk/benefit analyses
- Write memoranda summarizing the outcomes of pre-reviews and proposed changes
- Prepare agreements with other institutions engaged in collaborative research
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree with strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Minimum of two years in an administrative or regulatory environment related to human research protections
- A related master's degree may substitute for experience on a 1:1 basis
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with social, behavioral, and educational research IRB processes
