What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead all activities related to clinical study design from concept to protocol for early- and late-stage programs
- Drive strategy for clinical studies within the Ophthalmology therapeutic area
- Oversee clinical trial conduct and ensure proper safety monitoring and reporting
- Contribute to the development of regulatory filing documents and clinical study reports
- Serve as the subject matter expert for ophthalmology, representing Clinical Research to internal and external stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications):
- MD (or international equivalent) with board certification or eligibility in ophthalmology
- Fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery preferred
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry with experience as Clinical Research Lead in Ophthalmology
- Experience in conducting global clinical trials and regulatory submissions in the U.S.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Fellowship training in retina or regenerative cell medicine
- Experience working with organizations in Japan
- Experience in gene therapy
