Senior Rail Operations & Maintenance Engineer

- Apply advanced knowledge of rail operations and maintenance planning across all stages of project maturity, from concept to steady-state operations.
- Develop and review Operating Plans, Station Operating Procedures, and O&M documentation that set industry benchmarks.
- Lead or support System Handover activities, including Testing & Commissioning, Trial Running, Operator Training, and transition to revenue service.
- Prepare and evaluate Concept of Operations (ConOps), Maintenance Concepts, Operational Readiness plans, and O&M Manuals.
- Drive system reliability and maintainability strategies using FRACAS/DRACAS processes and Life Cycle Costing.
- Interpret outputs from rail operations simulation tools such as OpenTrack to optimise performance and safety.
- Assess operational implications across integrated rail systems, including traction power, tunnel ventilation, pedestrian modelling, and traffic interfaces.
- 15+ years of professional experience in rail operations, systems engineering, or maintenance environments.
- Deep understanding of O&M Planning, Train Operations, and Station & Yard Operations.
- Engineering or Planning degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration (asset).
- Expertise in operational readiness, testing & commissioning, and system handover processes.
- Familiarity with simulation tools such as OpenTrack and industry-standard modelling techniques.
