What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design and develop advanced custom business applications and solutions using Coherent Spark and VBA in Excel
- Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and viable solutions
- Optimize existing applications and debug VBA code to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define project scope
- Create technical documentation and provide support for existing solutions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 5-10 years of experience on a software delivery team, focusing on developing and maintaining VBA solutions
- Demonstrable expertise in VBA programming and its application within Excel and other Microsoft Office products
- Strong understanding of Excel functions, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 1-3 years of design/development experience with Coherent Spark
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python, C#, or VB.NET
- Experience working in a P&C Insurance environment and knowledge of insurance concepts
- Certifications such as Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) or Azure certifications
- Experience working with Coherent Spark Batch, On Demand, Subservices, and Testing Center
