What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Own the technical design for projects of large complexity and articulate tradeoffs in software creation
- Set strategic technical direction in partnership with Product, determining requirements for new applications and services
- Design and implement scalable, resilient services with observability metrics for production performance monitoring
- Participate in an agile development cycle, including code reviews, documentation, and mentoring
- Contribute to the support of production cloud services and streamline incident handling processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in developing cloud-based applications in Python, Java, and JavaScript or similar languages
- Strong knowledge of the AWS platform and experience designing AWS Lambda functions
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON or similar formats
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- First-hand experience writing mobile applications for Android & iOS and the React Native framework
- Familiarity with tools and methodologies such as Github, Github Actions, Terraform Cloud, Datadog, Jira, and Agile methodologies
