What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform underwriting analysis and risk assessment for new and/or renewal of large group contracts
- Prepare and deliver Middle Market new business quotes and renewals
- Collaborate with field sales and account management on complex cases
- Review work for accuracy, identify risks, and make recommendations for risk management
- Utilize underwriting tools and guidelines to produce accurate quotes and grants underwriting exceptions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 1-4 years of experience in healthcare underwriting/accounting pricing methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and independent thinking skills
- Proven success in collaborating with others to meet or exceed expectations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience or knowledge of voluntary product underwriting
