What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead comprehensive analysis of credit, market, liquidity, and/or model risks and provide strategic guidance to senior management on risk exposures
- Establish key risk indicators (KRIs) and proactively monitor risk exposures across business lines
- Identify emerging risks through monitoring of early warning indicators and provide strategic recommendations to senior management and board committees
- Review financial models and provide effective challenge on model methodology, assumptions, and limitations
- Provide independent assessments on regulatory preparedness and lead the preparation for regulatory examinations and audits
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience working in banking, financial services, or risk management
- Demonstrated experience in credit, liquidity, or model risk management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to senior management
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field
- Banking or regulatory examination experience
- Experience with model development or validation
- Experience with data querying or data visualization tools
