      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide Staff-level technical leadership for the software and product experience layer of Toolforge
      - Design and build platform software and user-facing workflows for tool creation, deployment, and maintenance
      - Lead the redesign of Toolforge’s tool creation and maintenance user interface
      - Define and implement best practices for common workloads such as bots and data-processing tools
      - Mentor engineers and guide architectural decisions to enhance team performance and engineering standards

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Extensive experience as a senior or Staff-level software engineer focusing on platforms, developer tools, or infrastructure systems
      - Strong architectural skills across APIs, backend services, and user-facing workflows
      - Proven experience in designing and building developer platforms, including build systems and deployment pipelines
      - Ability to collaborate effectively with SREs, product teams, and volunteer contributors
      - Comfort operating in open, distributed, and asynchronous work environments

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience contributing to or leading open-source projects
      - Familiarity with Toolforge, Wikimedia Cloud Services, or large-scale contributor platforms
      - Strong interest in enhancing developer experience and lowering barriers for technical contributors
