What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise and train coding staff, providing guidance on performance and workload management
- Assist the coding manager with scheduling, payroll, and work queue assignments
- Perform production coding as needed to support team operations
- Build strong relationships and facilitate communication between stakeholders and support departments
- Identify and address workflow barriers, implementing process improvements as necessary
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree in a Health Information related field or 4 years of experience in lieu of an Associate’s degree
- 3 years of experience as a production coder, including proficiency in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT/HCPCS coding
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Minimum of 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role overseeing staff and processes
- Professional Coding Certification
