What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise coders and assist with training new staff and managing performance
- Collaborate with the coding manager on scheduling, payroll, and physician education
- Perform production coding as needed
- Build relationships and facilitate communication between stakeholders and support departments
- Identify and address workflow issues and implement process improvements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree in a Health Information related field or 4 years of experience in lieu of an Associate's degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a production coder with expertise in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT/HCPCS coding
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- At least 1 year in a leadership or oversight role
- Professional Coding Certification
