What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct trauma-informed, non-clinical intake screenings for domestic and intimate partner violence survivors
- Respond to hotline calls during program hours and coordinate referrals from partner agencies
- Gather demographic information, screen for immediate safety concerns, and determine eligibility for services
- Coordinate with the Community Casework Manager to assign cases to Survivor Support Coordinators and Counselors
- Maintain accurate documentation and support grant reporting to ensure compliance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 2 to 4 years of experience working with LGBTQ+ communities and understanding the dynamics of domestic violence
- Familiarity with trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practice frameworks
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to social justice and understanding of structural and institutional biases
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Spanish language proficiency is strongly preferred; fluency in other languages is a plus
- Experience working with transgender and non-conforming individuals, as well as POC and immigrant populations
- Knowledge of the spectrum of gender identity and related issues
