What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop training materials and protocols for monitoring education initiatives
- Deliver professional development and technical assistance to educators and administrators
- Provide expertise in various education-related areas, such as school improvement and special education
- Support research activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Collaborate on project teams and manage or lead assigned projects
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's degree or a bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience in education or related fields
- Previous professional experience with a state education agency, demonstrating understanding of education policy
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more education-related topics
- Experience providing training and coaching support to educators
- Strong knowledge of federal education programs and state-level policy contexts
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience as a school or district-level administrator
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for education improvement
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to analyze and synthesize complex legislative information
- Willingness to travel locally and nationally up to 15% of the time
