      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Serve as the lead geotechnical authority, addressing complex soils and pavement challenges
      - Oversee soils investigations and complete pavement designs in compliance with regulations
      - Provide expert guidance on foundations, slope stability, and post-construction soil issues
      - Manage consultant contracts and support Life Cycle Cost Analysis efforts
      - Conduct daily field inspections and reviews as required

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Possession of a bachelor of science degree in engineering
      - Minimum of four years of professional experience as a Transportation Engineer
      - At least two years of experience equivalent to a Transportation Engineer P11, or one year at the Transportation Engineer 12 level
      - Valid driver's license required for field inspections
      - Registered professional engineering license as mandated by the State of Michigan
