      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business in accordance with company guidelines
      - Develop and implement risk assessment models for informed decision-making on coverage and pricing
      - Collaborate with actuaries, agents, brokers, and clients to gather information and provide guidance
      - Ensure compliance with state and federal insurance regulations and maintain proper documentation
      - Communicate underwriting strategies and decisions effectively to internal teams and external partners

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Risk Management and Insurance, or a related field
      - Minimum of 9 years of experience in Underwriting or a related field
      - Advanced knowledge of company policies and industry laws and regulations
      - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
      - Strong negotiation and decision-making abilities

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Progress toward a professional designation such as Associate in Underwriting (AU) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
      - Familiarity with marketing strategies and tools
      - Experience providing technical advice and support to junior team members
