What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform claim scrubs to ensure clean claim submission
- Address appeals and denials promptly, devising solutions to minimize future occurrences
- Communicate effectively with billing companies, hospitals, and insurance payers
- Accurately code and submit claims for services provided by healthcare professionals
- Participate in coding audits and assist in staff training as directed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required
- CPC certification required
- 3-4 years of coding and/or medical office billing experience
- Proficient in EMR software and multiple Microsoft Office applications
- Advanced knowledge in E&M and procedural coding preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Specialty clinical experience in Gastroenterology
- Ability to provide high-quality patient care and customer service
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
