What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Identify and resolve claim denials with minimal assistance
- Analyze problems and report trends related to denials and payer issues
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframes
- Prepare and submit corrected claims and necessary documentation to payers
- Communicate accounts receivable issues proactively to management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Education in medical billing or medical billing certification preferred
- Understanding of revenue cycle, accounts receivables, denial management, and coding (CPT/HCPCS/ICD10)
- Must be highly professional with effective communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a remote working environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Mod Med/EMA practice management system
- Detail-oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude
- Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly in a changing environment
- Ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality of medical information
