What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage and maintain operations of Construction Management Services software, assisting staff and verifying contractor payments
- Act as a liaison among contractors, subcontractors, and City officials to resolve software issues and ensure compliance
- Provide specialized office engineering support, including data verification and interpretation of maps and drawings
- Oversee the administration of contractor progress payments and maintain documentation for auditing purposes
- Visit work sites to inspect, monitor, and verify information related to construction projects
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or two years of college-level coursework in engineering and construction technology, or equivalent experience
- Current Washington State driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility
- At least 2 years of experience utilizing management software to track and report project costs
- Ability to develop, read, and interpret construction documents to ensure compliance
- Strong proficiency in using MS Word, MS Excel, SharePoint, and Adobe Professional, and/or Bluebeam
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with major utility construction and large, complex projects in an urban environment
- Strong organizational, time management, and customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in more than one language other than English
