      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Audit medical records to identify missed charges, incorrect coding, and inconsistencies affecting billing opportunities
      - Perform Root Cause Analyses to report common issues, including over-coding and under-coding
      - Retrieve missing patient information and documentation necessary for billing
      - Conduct pre-payment audits and review billing against documentation
      - Provide coding support to cross-functional team inquiries and special projects

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum 3 years of coding experience
      - Must have and maintain an approved coding credential through AAPC or AHIMA
      - Must obtain at least one additional certification (CANPC or CPMA) within 1 year of employment
      - Extensive knowledge of medical billing software and electronic medical records
      - Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft 365 and Excel proficiency with basic formulas, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Previous coding experience within Anesthesia or General Surgery
      - Knowledge of clinical documentation compliance and regulatory requirements
