What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Answer telephone calls, handle all inquiries appropriately, and schedule appointments for patients
- Enter patient demographics, insurance, and referral information into the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Cancel and reschedule appointments as necessary
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA policies and procedures
- Assist with additional relevant duties as assigned by management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of prior customer service experience
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn quickly
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be at least 18 years of age and able to work independently
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a medical office setting
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and policies
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff at all levels
